Landscape design for the numerous stages of redevelopment and upgrade, for this major retail, commercial and mixed use centre, located in Melbourne’s middle ring western suburb.
The landscape design included external and internal works; a kitchen garden at the fresh food entrance; and a giant internal Fig tree. The reuse of bluestone boulders (basalt) salvaged from the site, is a major ‘place-making’ component of the design; used for sculptural works; water features; seating and for paving.
